It's about you, not me...

This is the opening post to my blog, the part where I tell you all about myself, and my journey through out my career and the reasons why you should be reading my blog. All of my credentials, certifications, educational references, previous employers, and everything else that will make me look like I know what I am talking about as a “beauty blogger”.

Beauty blogger you say?!

If you are interested in my journey as a professional in the beauty industry, I am going to direct you straight to my “about me” page.

If you are anything like me, I have a tight schedule and a short attention span so I will spare you with the long details of my past and I will dive into why I created my blog- and what’s in it for you.

To start, I grew up in this industry

That’s right! My parents opened Jon Lori Salon-which is older than I am and means that I was qualified to blog about beauty since I was born.

Just Kidding

What I can tell you is that I have worked with a lot of women throughout my career.

I don’t want to say that my clientele is catered to a specific look or style but there is one major commonality that majority of them have.

They either lack knowledge of how to properly care for their beauty needs—or they just don’t have time for it

Having a beauty routine is not for everyone—although, I will say everyone should do a little something to pamper themselves because we deserve it! That does not mean it has to be extravagant.

It is important to care of our bodies—our hair and skin is part of this. When we dress well, take care of our bodies, hair, and skin it affects the behavior of those around us in a positive way. And that makes us feel better and increases our confidence and self-esteem.

A healthy mindset is absolutely a priority!!

I do understand the time factor as well. To be honest, I apply my makeup at the bus stop. My hair care routine starts before bed and I try to finish it before the kids wake up– because I don’t have more than 5-10 minutes to myself.

Balance is hard—and we are in this together

So, let me help you learn how to care for your hair and apply your makeup so you can feel like your most beautiful self

Because a healthy mindset is important
